Baillie Mac Something reports
on the Charity Cycle Ride held on 21st June

I’m pleased to say that the Pickwick BC retained the
Wembley RC Shield with £1800 raised for the South
Bucks Hospice at High Wycombe. Baillie Mac Something
won the Mary Smithson Cup for the most monies raised by
an individual -£1200. Last year’s winner George the
Embarrassed Gentleman(David Phizacklea) was away
working in Europe so unable to defend his title.

The ride raised a total in excess of £3500, with Mr Brooks,
Sergeant Snubbins, Mr Smithie and Mr Mallard riding for
the Pickwick BC. Joe the Fat Boy signed the riders on, and
manned the finish at “The Plough” in Winchmore Hill, with
able assistance from Hilary at his side.

There followed a BBQ afterwards at Wildhatch, courtesy of Mrs Baillie Mac Something,
and a good day was had by all.
