As agreed at the AGM, the membership list was opened for a brief period and
closed again on the 31st january. A reasonable number of good prospective members
have been nominated, and I look forward to meeting them at interview over the next
few years. Your officers will be looking at the list and bringing a new proposal to
next year’s AGM as to when the list may be re-opened once again.

We hope shortly to transfer all members records to a new database and I will then
be working towards an updated handbook. Members contact details may also be
available through the members only section of the website - i.e. password protected.
This will be discussed at the AGM before implementation.

It would appear that the Connaught Rooms have a taken a contract for an
alternative function on our usual December date. We are investigating this
problem, but at this time it would appear that the December Garden Party
will now be on Thursday 10th December and not the usual first Thursday.
