Saturday 25 May
What tremendous fun! A glorious day for H-BUG’s first grass-track event which was a new experience
for all riders. After setting personal bests (PBs) on bikes ranging from BMX to mountain bikes, everyone
was seeded so that they could race
against somebody with a similar
PB.
This was a great opportunity to be
competitive, and to watch the racing
techniques of others.
We look forward to more grass-
track meetings during the summer,
and we will try to experience each
of the different Olympic track
events.
After the presentation ceremony the
Pickwick Bicycle Club medals were
worn with great pride.

Everybody is welcome! 12 June 2013
Dear Mr Pickwick and fellow members of The Pickwick Bicycle Club,
We would like to thank you all for your immense generosity in presenting your wonderful
PBC medals for presentation at our inaugural grass-track cycling event.
With so many young cyclists being introduced to the concepts of personal bests (PBs) and
pursuit riding, we feel honoured to have been recognised by the Pickwick Bicycle Club for
our efforts to make cycling a normal thing to do in our community. Our strategy is to support
and encourage cycling from playground to podium, and we are extremely proud to have
received the support of the oldest cycling club in the world.
Many thanks to you all.
Yours sincerely
All of us.
