      From time o time we come across a mention of a member whose achievements
     beyond the club have been noted elsewhere. Here below is such a note regarding
      the appointment by the Minister of Power of Past President Mr H Walker (1938)

     elected president of the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund.

     conferred upon him by the Electricity Acts, 1947 and
     1957, and the Regulations made thereunder has reappointed
     the following as part-time members of
     Electricity Boards constituted under the said Acts:
     Mr. W. H. Lawson, C.B.E., B.A., F.C.A.—
     Southern.
     Lt.-Col. E. L. Luce, D.S.O., T.D., J.P.—Southern.
     Mr. G. H. B. Wilson, C.B.E., M.C., A.F.C., J.P.—
     East Midlands,
     Mr. R. E. Crowe.—Yorkshire.
     Mr. E. J. Smith.—North Western.'
