The arrival of the Punch Bowl

and Mr Trundle
In spite of the lower numbers, the charity fines for improper dress code, donations or
whatever you wish to call them, generated a sizeable amount of cash duly collected from
each table and presented to Dumkins as he loves helping the ladies to count it all! The money
will go to the Past President’s chosen charity - Prostate Cancer UK.
There then followed a special occasion, for a
special award of a new, Honorary Life Member
Medal to be given to Samkin by the President,
for his extraordinary work in organising so
much of the planned 150th Anniversary
celebrations of our Club. Much of the
memorabilia etc that members have seen over
the past two years are the result of his
endeavours, with more to come at the Black-Tie
Dinner. Chapeau to Samkin!

lunch, and we could have had no better person than
Adger Brown, to bring back the memories of
hilarious afternoons at the Garden Party. Initially
when I saw his name on the menu, I wondered why
we were having an American rehabilitation
consultant as a speaker - had we suffered so badly
during the past two years that we were in need of
help. Adger was clearly not that person and soon
dispelled the idea, as laughter quickly erupted
across the room.
