Events for 2018
Once again the list of known events at the time of going to press, is shown below. Your
President has indicated that there may be some additional activities, which will be notified
by email in due course. All events are open to members & friends to enjoy, whether
participating or just supporting. Whilst this may seem boring, and repetitive, please
remember that the Club doesn’t just exist for the two luncheons. Organising all the events
takes a lot of effort and should be rewarded with support from as many Club members as
possible.

7 June – Annual Golf & Cycle Ride at Harpenden – see pages 25/26for details

1st July - Benson Veteran Cycle Ride –details from Mr Brooks
26-29th July – Mr Pickwick goes to France – BaillieMac Something has organised
another exciting trip to watch the Tour de France and enjoy the
usual hospitality associated with this event- see pp24
11 October – Hampton Court Bike Ride – the usual collection of pre-1929

manufactured bikes and their much younger riders, plus an
eclectic assortment of “other machines ” riding the roads ofSurrey
and Royal Parks. Starting at Imber Court promptly at 1000hrs and
returning for lunch. Ladies are very welcome to join the rides or you
can just come along for lunch, – apply Pruffle or Hunt for details.

Mentioned above is the fact that these events need your support, but remember also the
Club ruling about attending the requisite number of luncheons to maintain your
membership.
