The second item – a page from the April 1887 copy of The Cyclist, included on page 656
(how big was this publication?) a comment by the Hon. Mr Crushton, P.B.C., about the
increase in the price of beer. The item is reproduced here, and one would like to think
that the same concerns would be raised by members under similar circumstances today.
