The Late Lord Chancellor’s (Long) Guest List cont’d…..

My next introduction is actually for one of our own. We are, gentlemen, in the
presence of a record breaker from our own ranks.
You may remember him from last year when he rather rashly climbed onto the penny
farthing after lunch which was soon followed by a rather dashing dismount. I am
referring of course to our very own Slum (Alan Ash), who has recently returned from a
record breaking charity run of visiting every Caravaggio painting in the world within
three weeks, while keeping the same alcohol to painting ratio as the great man himself
      achieved.

Whether it was the gruelling schedule or maybe lasting damage from the penny
farthing incident, by the third week one of his legs had completely packed up and he was
dragging them around Florence in a manner vaguely reminiscent of Boris Karloff’s rather
      splendid Mummy.
BUT DID THIS SLOW HIM DOWN? Well, yes I think it did a bit. However he got the
record, raised over £20k for charity and spent an equal amount in bars in 28 cities
across the globe. Slum, we are honoured to have you in our ranks.

And finally, it gives me enormous pleasure to introduce our splendid principal speaker.
John Maloney, Twice winner of best Live performer at the London Comedy festival and
best live stand-up at the British Comedy awards, he has delighted audiences worldwide.
Known also for performances on BBC The Stand up show and Grumpy old Men John has
been described as such – in the car-lot of comedy, John Maloney is the Bentley.
John we greatly look forward to hearing from you in a few minutes.

Members of the Pickwick Bicycle Club, “Will you now please rise and drink a toast to our
      guests.” Thank You
