It was eventually time for the President to
express thanks to Mark Ramprakash for
entertaining us; to say how much he had enjoyed
his extremely busy year as Mr Pickwick; thank
everyone present for joining the party, and to
call on Charlie the Pot Boy to make his way to the
top table for the hand over of the chain of
office to the new President, in exchange for a
Past President’s medal.

All good things must come to an end, and so the assembled gathering linked arms
and Auld Lang Syne rang out across the grand hall of The Grand Connaught Rooms.
