                 -Oelr--?e"Lq=r,
Thank you so much for your donation of t-t,937.94 to Help for Heroes (H4H) collected at a recent
meeting of your club. Your support is making a huge difference to the lives of some truly
                  inspirational people.
One such person is Trooper Lee Matthews, who went into hospital for a routine operation three and
a half years ago. However, complications left him with constant pain, muscle spasms and fatigue. For
a long time this made life very difficult, and Lee became depressed.
Then he was introduced to Wheelchair Basketball and his life was transformed. ln his own words,
" when I om sitting in thot choir the pain just fodes away and I qm completely free."
On Saturday 13th September, Lee took to the court to represent his country once more; this time at
the lnvictus Games where, with the British Armed Forces Wheelchair Basketballteam, he won a Gold
                  medal.
Lee says "The lnvictus Gomes helped me to fall in love with lile ogain ond I will never be oble to
express just how much Wheelchoir Bosketball now meons to me. I owe Help for Heroes - ond
everyone who supports them - o debt of gratitude that I can never repay. So, thonk you for doing
your bit; everyone who hos suffered o life-chonging injury or illness appreciotes ond is thonkful for
                  the support."
The Uattte cohtinues and H4H must be there for Lee whenever he might neeA, anO for the 75,000
other heroes who are likely to need support over the coming years.
People like you make this possible so thank you, on behalf of all 'the blokes', for your continued and
valued support. lt truly makes a difference.
