Passing of time………and friends
!
Unfortunately we have lost three Club members since the last magazine which is very sad
of course, and probably highlights/re-enforces Samkin’s comments about the Club
needing some younger members to carry it forward.

Brian Fredericks – Jack Hopkins
!
Buzfuz received a letter from Brian’s wife Shirley informing of his
passing last Autumn at the age of 79. He ran his own insurance
brokerage for many years, and in 2003 was made a Freeman of the
City of London for his services. He was Vice-President of Leyton
Orient FC, and had been a member of the Pickwick BC since 1987.

Mike Johnson – Bill Stumps
!
Following a long period of illness, Mike passed away in a Hospice in December.
He had been a Club member since 2010.

Trevor Paine – Nockemorf (Retired)
!
Tony Paine notified Buzfuz of the passing of his fatherTrevor in
December at the age of 93. From a background of Law and then
Accountancy, he came into contact with a cycle shop in North
London who introduced him to a ’ mysterious cycle function’ of which
he became a Club member in 1976.
