     New Members………………
     !

Those of you that attended the AGM will be aware that for the first time in a
number of years, the availability of ‘spare’ soubriquets has become quite
significant. Thus all members will have received the letter from Sergeant
Buzfuz, requesting nominations for suitable new members with a view to filling
these roles in the next year or so.
I therefore thought it might be an opportune moment to ask those who have
become members in the past year, to perhaps write to me and tell us something
about their background in cycling or associated labours, because all we ever
hear is the announcement at the luncheons, of their name and soubriquet. Have
we got some unheralded champion on two wheels, or three or even one come to
that? Has somebody raised a lot of money for charity on their bike, or….even
written a book about the Club? We’d like to hear from you, and to have a picture
as well, not only for this topic, but also for the Soubriquet histories that
Joseph Smiggers (Steve Bullen) so ably compiles for each issue of the magazine.
